CertiK has spotted a serious security loophole.

Hackers can now run harmful code through media files.

It’s recommended to turn off the auto-download feature for photos, videos, and files in your chats.

How to do it?

  • Navigate to Telegram settings.
  • Then go to data and storage.
  • Turn off auto downloads from both Wifi and Cellular data option.

 Stay safe fam!

Thanks for this information, preemptive measures could help tackle this as telegram is growing to become a Web3 friendly hub, like discord and twitter, also telegram recently just created their own wallet in-app after the launch of their coin, Ton coin.
