Project Goal: We aim to create a platform where users can discover the origins of images, memes, or scenes they encounter online. The goal is simple: to provide a fun and collaborative way for people to submit images they’re curious about, get help from others, and even reward contributors with BTT tokens for their research efforts.

Project Value: Blockchain allows every image submission, comment, upvote, and reward to be stored, ensuring fairness and permanence in user contributions. Plus, the BTT rewards feature makes it a fun, rewarding experience for users who help find the sources.

Hi @manfred_jr nice to see you here

No, it is a new project although team is same.

It was our previous project which shows the stress-relief games for users: QuestArcade - relaxing and more relaxing is just a click away

The part that caused confusion was that the team name and the project name were the same last season. Now we are updating those parts as well. In short, “QuestArcade” is a team hosting 2 different projects. and the Source Hunter project is completely new and developed in s7.

Welcome to hackathon S7
Your project sounds interesting.
While listening to your YouTube I had you mention that contributors are probably rewarded,so I will like to know on how you rewards the contributor.

  • Do you have any plan of expanding beyond Tron ecosystem.

  • What steps have you put in place to prevent abuse or mislead information.

Welcome to hackathon season 7
After reading your project I have some questions for you

Is the rewards for finding the source of the image or memes only for the first user to find it?

If many users can be rewarded for identifying the source of the art, how do you ensure fair distribution of prizes?

Is their a limit to what someone can earn for identifying the source of the art?

Oh, the mixup can be quite triggering so excuse my confusion. What has changed from your prior participation in Hackathon leading up to your to your current entry/project submission?

Welcome team, when I started reading the project goal I thought AI was going to be used to tell us the origin of memes, images and others. But I got to know it is going to be like a discussion room where we get helps from one other. Don’t you think with the introduction of AI on this will really help?

Your welcome is appreciated thank you

In short, one user comes to website and publish a image, story link to find the origin of it. And other users see those posts, they can put comments or make their own researches and share their results. Not just the main user who published the question, but also all users in forum can give upvotes/downvotes to each other. And they can reward the correct answers.

Right now, we’ve focused on UI part of the platform, later it for sure we’ll update band expand our blockchain part.

It may be as X, our team can put time on the contents where users couldn’t decide what is true, or false.

aa yes @ines_valerie, we were in s6. now in s7. We remember u too :people_hugging:

Your welcome is appreciated thank you @Chukseucharia
We’d be glad to answer your questions in order

Answer: Everyone has a different research skills. Each person could focus on different perspectives so there won’t be just 1 answer for many questions. People won’t just ask “where this meme is from?”, but they will also ask questions such as “Is it true that bla bla bla?”. So anyone can give rewards to anyone due to their answer, no limit on that side.

Answer: We are not the one who is giving rewards, people just appreciate each others’ answers and give rewards. We’ll update our platform this week, so you can see the exact vision we want to share with you.

Answer: no limit for anyone for anything. Critical thinkers will be rewardes by providing freedom in terms of everything.

Hey, Welcome to Hackathon Season 7, Hey I really loved the unique concept Source Hunter! Such an awesome idea to keep track of where memes and images originate. But how is this different? There are platforms like Reddit (r/whatisthis) and Google Reverse Image Search which already can help people find sources for images. Why did you decide to build this on the blockchain, rather than just using a more traditional platform or tool? What unique advantage does the blockchain bring to this?

It is so understandable, thank you for sharing.

We put stress-relief games in first platform, it continues to work on mainnet, and we are bringing new games this month. Now we are updating its UI part. Next season we’ll come in builder category. 'Till that time, we are trying to improve all the aspects.

Thank you @Prince-Onscolo nice to see you again

We believe that although AI capabilities has surpassed average human by far, still for some topics such as discussion, mislead information, we need to people who are critical thinker. For that purpose, we don’t plan to include AI part yet. But you are right, for basic submission such as meme, or a screenshot from TV series, AI would analyze internet quickly and bring the correct solutions. We’ll definitely think about it. Thank you for your feedback :people_hugging:

You are welcome to the hackathon session 7
I like the concept of collaborative source hunting of images. It presents the opportunity for a collaborative idea sharing between the users. My question on this is;

  1. Is there any verification process to crosscheck the quality and relevance of the submissions to avoid people sending provocative/erotic images in the platform?
  2. Will users have the right to flag post/comments they see as irrelevant to promotion of unity and knowledge among them?
  3. Are there plans to transform both the images shared and relevant research answers given to an educational content that users can visit to learn from?

I clearly get that, I can see the innovation and transitioning from on here and that’s quite commendable.

we appreciate your welcome @chizz. Thank you for your question. Let’s answer all of them in order:

  1. Not yet, but we’ll add to algorithm check the users’ addresses and their content in certain intervals so that we can prevent spamming & inappropriate contents.

  2. It’s really a bright idea, thanks for sharing your vision. We didn’t plan it before you, but by considering the functionality of it, it’d definitely create a difference on the forum to prevent many problems. We’ll add it to our UI.

  3. For now, we didn’t focus on that area. Next days, plans may change.

Thanks so much, while platforms like Reddit, Quora, Google Reverse Image Search are helpful, Source Hunter brings something unique. We are here with greater perspective on that area by focusing on images also discussions, stories and etc. If you are searching one topic, you can find many different websites which say opposite . Moreover, it is not just image search, also finding links and deciding on something over discussions etc. People who post the questions would save their time and plus someone else will research for them. Plus, users can directly reward valuable contributions with BTT tokens, creating real-world incentives to dive deep and find the source. And since everything is tied to the user’s wallet, contributors own their efforts and build a reputation.

How can we ensure that users feel incentivized to participate regularly, both by submitting images and contributing to research efforts?
