Omg, this is a whole lot of concerns on the forum, I hope people spamming will see this and do better especially some person that use a day to respond to 30 projects at once.
If they are too good with grammar and understand this project well why not help for most of this project just as I saw @Prince-Onscolo on CFT spreading awareness on X with other projects Anyway thank you all for this tips
Hey @leohymon I also agree with you on this important issue. I was noticing when going through old hackathons as well that activity on the platform spikes during the voting period and then quiets down until the next season. I think Instead of making it harder for new users to join with strict measures like KYC, I think we could implement a weighted voting system. This way, new accounts would have less influence initially, and active community members whoâve been around longer would have more say.
I feel it will help to prevent new accounts from unfairly boosting projects and encourages everyone to stay involved throughout the year. What you guys think ?
I think that facial verification type of kyc would really help to solve this problem
Now I see some positive comments, last season I talked about this and the hates that followed was too much. For me if just 10 people get time to review projects only these people should be allowed to vote. If not then they should allow bot to vote too
Login to just to vote? On wh basis?
We must encourage active participation and the only thing we can use to drag them here is to put restrictions on voting. I know they will do anything to qualify
Itâs not our fault âHuman beings are naturally lazyâ
I already have lost faith in community voting
Too complicated. In some countries, alien residents ID number is not the same format as local residents. Itâs a pain in the A while trying to apply for a lot of services such as online shopping apps.
Also it would be hard to get confirmation from govs that the ID number is correct. A collab with HTX would be easier imo.
Thatâs an interesting idea. Not sure itâs really fair for new projects onboarding their community. But def an interesting concept.
I can understand
Fraudsters will always be a step ahead. Maybe instead of trying to catch every fake account, the focus should be put on following up more closely with winners. Making sure they keep maintain their products.
I also introduced the idea of an accelerator/incubator rather than just a prize in money. That would incentivise long term builders. Free marketing, advices, networking,⊠would give a huge boost to small projects.

Everyone shared their thoughts with brainstorming. It is now up to you to read in detail Sorry for bringing in extra work
I agree that KYC should be initiated, however I believe excluding people from voting simply because they arenât active on the forum isnât the right approach. Some projects have community member often on platforms like Discord who are committed supporters of the craft, even if they arenât spending all their time on the forum, I can remember one from few season ago called âThe packâ that helped to create Pfp can you remember @Prince-Onscolo where you got your PFP from? Not everyone wants or needs to be on the forum 24/7, especially when the main focus is evaluating projects. Being less active here shouldnât disqualify someone from being part of the community.
Huge respect to everyone whoâs been active and supportive over the years: @Gordian, @Prince-Onscolo, @HODL, @Nweke-nature1.com, @manfred_jr, @TronNinjas, @xcitydev.
Iâm in support of the KYC
Can you explain more about this weighted voting system? It seems too complicated for the results you are trying to achieve
Bro you joined 1 day ago
What are you other accounts please?
Now stop copy pasting, itâs not the first time I see you doing that
Haha I didnât notice
Forum FBI
Heâs doing that all the time.
The irony is seeing a basic bot commenting on the âbasic botsâ topic
This is hilarious lol
Bots are trying to save Bots
Youâve got a keen eye, that flew over my head
But to add to what Bubblegoose said, a lot of members are rarely active here because of platforms like Discord
And if weâre being honest, so many people lack the skills to have conversations in public setups, that doesnât mean you should invalidate them, just sayingâŠ
Itâs not about people lacking self confidence but people spamming ChatGPT messages all day long
Alright, I do get your point
But that much should be expected from a generation thatâs becoming overly reliant on AI and canât seem to form sentences without the aid of chatbots
If it was just to summarize a presentation and formulate properly an answer I would understand but here clearly the prompt is:
Based on this text formulate 5 questions, also prepare a small introduction saying the project is really good. Make it sound smart.
