Bot accounts being Basic

Loll :stuck_out_tongue: Great Pick Big Man

Lol I understand it’s a slight to those who genuinely took the time to go through a project and provide feedback, but humans will always be humans and no matter the rules you put in place they’ll still find a way around it and they’ll become extra creative in trying to outsmart the system
But yeah, I understand you just felt I should drop my two cents on the matter, no offense

No worries, everybody can share his views.

I’m not as much bothered by the fact they try to grab some prize than by the fact that I have a ton more of comments to read which are totally uninteresting  Feels like a loss of time so sometimes I decide to just ignore other comments and ask my questions even tho they’ve been answered already. Eventually those who are bothered the most are projects answering those questions :joy:

HTX still requires Government i.d verification, facial recognition and stuff, you don’t somehow think your concerns about an express backdoor and exploiting loopholes still apply?

Yeah, I feel you
Having to respond to mediocre comments repeatedly is a nightmare, big ups to the project managers for always working so hard

Mmh I prefer to give my ID to a registered company that I can sue than some obscur forum admins personally :see_no_evil: No offense to the admin but I have no idea who he is and where is based at.

TronDao Forum is an independent body on it’s own, so it ain’t enough to have community members on discord and expecting to reach peak performance/level in the forum, that’s like being on X (fka Twitter) and expect retweets on YouTube.
And also, accounts ain’t banned from voting neither is voting exclusive to active members but you just gotta attain a certain level in the forum to be eligible to vote.

Depending on where you’ve been looking. Irregardless of the tide, I can tell you for a fact that @Prince-Onscolo @Nweke-nature1.com @Gordian @ines_valerie @fabsltsa @maaz @Gordian @TMMS from Tron Ninjas, etc (apologies if I missed out on your name) is always here, Hackathon or not, thank you.

I suggest we should consider how to make this forum more engaging even after the hackathon.Honestly i didn’t saw this community voting power to any other hackathon and such amazing prizes, but we need to think about why people will continue using the platform. For developers, Telegram or Discord might be more appealing for discussions. Perhaps we could hold monthly competitions, like recognizing the best article or news piece, to keep the community active and engaged. This would encourage more participation as well.
We know bots or fake accounts are going to influence voting in this use case, but if even 20% of genuine users gain knowledge about Tron, it’s worth it. We should look for ways to increase this percentage and draw more people to the Tron community and ecosystem.

Hello , regarding KYC I don’t think many will be OK with that, we have so many entities asking for KYC, taking head shots , IDs, etc already
sensitive data leaking is a major problem nowadays and I’m personally against it because of security reasons.

About the bots voting , rest assured we have a system in place to catch those and remove them effectively.

As a warning for all projects: Trying to cheat the voting system might get your project disqualified for the community or even the judges prizes. Better not to attempt and be good

I think making the stats go private is more of a gift than a curse, the way community members clash over certain projects being robbed off votes by bots and founders pitching themselves against one another over arguments circling around who deserves what and why, etc
What we’re seeing right now is more or less like a filtration process.

There is no reason to get stressed or hyped cause we don’t know at all the results haha
I assume lot of team prefer this way cause they can have a better sleep :joy: but as you said the atmosphere is different.

@manfred_jr makes also a good point. This season there is no project complaining about unfair process. Let’s see how it goes after the results are published

Hey Simbad, will we see the results on Nov 1 or are we going to wait the final results?

From what I understand from the statement, we will see it on November 1. Of course, plans may change.
