Disqualification of Projects as a Result of Voting

Happy sunday all

I wanted to dedicate my afternoon to the forum this afternoon. I would like to share my opinion on a topic that concerns everyone in the forum.

Let’s brainstorm a bit. For example, I have a project in the integration track called “New Tech” and I have 50 bots. I want to boost my project.

  1. I only voted for my own project and I didn’t vote for any other project in any track. Should this project be disqualified? I think NO. Because no one can know if these votes came from me or from someone who wants to eliminate me. What needs to be done is to delete all the votes of these bot accounts. In short, it seems logical to me that all accounts that voted for only 1 project in total in all tracks should be considered invalid.
(Telling “But the teams invited people to get votes from their own communities” is a bit like crying. To get votes, you need to be basic and the accounts need to spend time in forum. If they haven’t clicked on 1 or 2 different projects, even out of the worst curiosity, such accounts should be considered invalid. I don’t think there’s any need to think too much about actions that are no different than bots.)

  2. I voted for both my own project and other projects in the tracks randomly (some from my track as well). Who should be eliminated now? From my perspective, it is clear which project got the bot, because I did it. However, from the perspective of users and admins, 12-15 different projects got votes. The main problem here is that different bots from different teams (just a guess of chance) are spread across different projects, so it would not make sense to specifically accuse a team without evidence.

In both cases, team disqualification can result in injustice.
In short, the only logical time for a project to be disqualified is when the IPs of the accounts that vote match the project owner (which proves that they were voted by their bots)

What are your thoughts on this issue?

Additionally: If multiple accounts were logged in from a single IP address, I argue that both their projects and votes should be canceled, regardless of whether they are the project owner or not. (But unfortunately, I think that a statement like “20 people use one computer due to difficult conditions in some places” is a bit of a stretch. Participants who have such a special situation should have informed the admin.)

The team is very careful when it comes to disqualify a project. It’s unlikely that projects get disqualified. If you refer to my poll it was mostly just to have fun as the forum is mostly dead this last days.

I had an article like this in mind, and when I saw your poll, I decided to put my thoughts into writing. Since there were around 800 votes compared to the activity, I wanted to share my detailed opinion.

Yes, project disqualification is a tough one and usually the admins team won’t do it unless VERY CLEAR evidence is found on not following the rules, vote buying, etc.

We will always do our best to keep voting as fair as possible

Hehe love the logic here and to add to it in most cases some might have 5 best projects him personally which coincidentally merged in one track e:g builders track, but decisions are different, some will decide to only vote for one of his best project instead of 3 , will it be termed it as invalid for me No as long as he/she is eligible to vote,…in terms of fishing out bots, its a zero panic for me because previous seasons is an evidence that admins can handle that 99% so I believe that this season will be even more better :muscle:
Hehe no need for Long epistles , multiple accounts with one IP is a red flag :pushpin:

Before the team disqualifies a project, they gather enough evidence. Last season bot votes were deleted but I will be happy this time if they get disqualified based on legit evidence

I have experience here how the admins take their time before the decide to disqualify a project, there are times when it will be looking like a getaway but the admins never misses anything, thank you

IMO it can hard to figure out just by bot votes who is the real cheater. My suggestion to teams or individuals who are setting up these bots is to actually build some useful project on TRON/BTTC and participate in hackathons fairly.

I don’t think any project got disqualified this season, maybe @SimbadMarino could confirm it :eyes::smile:

I saw three projects disqualified only since I’m here
If I remember that ustx bond by sirluke because of cheating in votes last season , others one are AlgoMm and BitcoinOrdinals in season 5 which I remember first reported by me in forum😂

Last season I don’t think there was any disqualification
They just removed a lot of votes.

I remember a project was DQed for stealing Klever graphics and token ticker (KLV) but don’t remember the name or the season. A payment app.

Lol why he was submitting klever integrated project to Tron🙂

I guess this is the project you talking about

I wonder why he was submitting to Tron😄

Bond was not disqualified. They just did not win any community prize after bot votes were removed. But they won a prize from judges.
