Sure, man. Evoie’s like social media but for NFTs. You can turn any of your posts into NFTs and buy or sell 'em. It’s got all the usual social media stuff like user profile, reactions and stuff, plus a built-in NFT marketplace.
You can get super creative too. Think of it like CodePen; were you can create limitless small web components with HTML, CSS and JS as NFTs. Pretty cool, right?
Also now I’m adding some DeFi features to help creators a bit more. The big plan in my head right now is to introduce a credit score system based on your account activity and views. Once that’s set up, you could actually get a loan within Evoie, using your content and account as collateral. I’m also planning to structure some investment options in Evoie to make sure there’s enough liquidity for the loans. So yeah, some neat features are in the pipeline.
I’m also considering taking this DeFi idea and making it a standalone project for Season 5. If you have any good inputs regarding this, please share them with me. I’ll include those things in Evoie to make the DeFi experience better.
What do you think, is it worth concentrating on the DeFi part more and featuring it in DeFi category
I am exploring the features and limitations of bittorrent and checking will this suit my requirements, If not I am having some other options in my mind too. I think bittorrent will not suit for most of my case, need to do some research on this.
With FlixFund, creators can put up their movie ideas, Think of it like Kickstarter but specifically for films. You’ll create a profile for your project, add some sample videos, photos, and all that good stuff. Now here’s the kicker: we’re looking at adding community-like features, maybe even real-time video and text chats. So, imagine you’re a creator—you can jump on a video call with potential investors and really sell your idea. Investors aren’t just throwing money into a void; they become stakeholders and get a share of the profits. Makes the investment more engaging.
Now, about ads. Yeah, nobody likes an ad popping up in the middle of a nail-biting scene. That’s why Flixe has thought about ad placement Ads only come at the start, and end of the movies. No random pop-ups! Plus, the billboard ads you see at the top? Those spots are auctioned daily to keeps things fresh and less annoying
Also having a plan to introduce FlixPass with which we can have access to premium content and can go Ad free
Great, thank you for providing more details about FlixFund and the ad placement strategy. It’s interesting to hear about the interactive features for creators and the plan for premium content access through FlixPass.
But I’ve a few questions to ask;
How will Flixe ensure the quality and authenticity of the movie ideas presented on FlixFund? Are there any screening or vetting processes in place to maintain the platform’s credibility?
Regarding the FlixPass, what can users expect in terms of pricing and available premium content? Will there be different tiers or levels of access, and how will this impact the existing ecosystem of viewers and content creators?
With the ad placements restricted to the start and end of movies, how does Flixe plan to strike a balance between revenue generation through ads and ensuring an uninterrupted viewing experience for users?
Can you provide more details about the Flixe Studio dashboard for content creators? What specific insights and analytics will be available to them, and how will this information help creators optimize their content and engagement strategies?
Welcome to HackaTRON S5! It’s sad to know about your health challenges which couldn’t make you carry on with other development plans of your previous project, Evoie. Now you are better, I’m wondering why you are participating in this season of the HackaTRON instead of continuing with Evoie in the builder track?
Participating with a new project, do you plan on integrating both projects to ensure that the success of one project lead to the success of the other. Taking TronNinjas and TronNrg as an example, where the growth of TronNrg will automatically lead to the expansion of TronNinjas.
I have other direct questions that will centre on your new project, Flixe, but I will stop at this till you answer the above two questions that centers on integrating both your old and new projects.
Hi @manfred_jr, Still working on that part, man. I’m thinking of setting up a review panel to vet movie pitches for originality and feasibility before they go live for crowdfunding, and I plan set a reward system to reward these reviewers for their time and input.
But still need to figure out on how to make it out.
I am planning to add an option to mark any video as Premium video by the creator, user’s will be having two option to view it now, one by renting that video and viewing it or by having a FlixPass - which opens a gate to view all premium grade videos.
Along with that FlixPass users will not be annoyed with Ads.
Reg the Ad, I have planned to place Ads in the video starting and ending and will make sure to make the duration very short, this is my try to make them as non-intrusive as possible.
I am not focusing much on any cool stuffs as of now in the dashboard. As of now it will only show all the needed statistics of that creators content and revenue.
Hey @Youngyuppie,
Thanks for pointing me toward the builder track! Got a ton of ideas to implement into EVOIE. The version I submitted for Season 4 was okay, but the current one is way more stable and feature-packed.
Got some more experiments in mind, like that one-liner from Flixe . Fun fact: that was originally a feature for EVOIE. But adding it kinda took EVOIE off-course, so I spun Flixe off as its own thing.
I’m also having a DeFi concept for EVOIE. But the idea is not fully ready for the post.
I was kinda on the fence about giving Evoie another go in the builder track, but your suggestion got me pumped. Definitely got a solid plan now to put Evoie back in the game. I’ll keep you posted!
What a nice addition that you have planned out and it arouses my suspicions further so I’ve a few follow up questions;
With the option for creators to mark videos as Premium content, how will you ensure that the premium videos offer significant value to users in order to encourage them to rent or subscribe with FlixPass? Will there be guidelines for creators regarding the content quality or uniqueness of premium videos?
Could you provide insights into how the rental option for premium videos will work? Will users have a limited viewing period once they rent a video, or will they have access to it indefinitely after renting?
Setting up a review panel to vet movie pitches is a great idea to maintain the quality and credibility of the projects before they go live for crowdfunding. Are you open to contributions? If yes, here are some suggestions and contributions on how to implement this effectively:
Define clear and comprehensive criteria that reviewers can use to evaluate movie pitches. This could include aspects like originality of the concept, feasibility of production, market relevance, and alignment with the platform’s values
Assemble a diverse panel of reviewers with expertise in different areas of the entertainment industry. This could include filmmakers, scriptwriters, industry veterans, and even potential investors. A diverse set of perspectives will lead to more comprehensive evaluations.
Initiating a plan to reward reviewers is a thoughtful incentive. Consider various reward options such as monetary compensation, credits in the funded projects, early access to content, or exclusive perks on the platform. The reward system should reflect the value of their input.
Regularly gather feedback from reviewers about the review process itself. Use their insights to refine and improve the process over time. This collaborative approach will enhance the quality of reviews.
Okay! I will suggest linking the two projects in such a manner that a percentage of the revenue generated from either of the project, will be send to the other project to continue incentivising the users and drive growth of both projects simultaneously.
Again, as a shareholder of a video created, what percentage of the revenue will I be expecting to share from. Like, what percentage of the revenue do shareholders stand to share from the revenue received in a video they invested on?
After buying a video as a viewer, will I be able to sell it later on, when I want to seize ownership of such video?
With your project being the first of its kind, what is your development strategy that will ensure the sustainability of the project?
Great questions, man! So, about that Premium content on Flixe — contents will be labelled as “premium,” but I couldn’t figure out the best way to quality-check a video before it gets that tag. If you’ve got any solid criteria for identifying high-quality content, your input would be super helpful to me.
As for the rental part, it’s gonna work like this: you pay a bit, and you get access to the video for a set period of time. During that time, you can watch it as many times as you want.
Hey, awesome suggestions! Totally open to contributions, and your ideas are pretty much on point.
These are great contributions and I’d love to incorporate them into our vetting process. Thanks for taking the time to share, man!
Hey @Youngyuppie , you’re really diving deep into this! Awesome thoughts,
That’s a pretty cool idea! Sharing a chunk of revenue between the two platforms could be awesome. With that said, I’m considering a future plan to establish a common wallet for both platforms where all revenues will be accumulated. I’m also thinking about making the ‘Credit Score’ system common for both projects. This way, users who have built up a good score on one platform could enjoy perks and benefits on the other one too. It could drive user engagement and growth on both ends.
