HackaTRON S6 - It's voting time. Let's go, community!

Pull him down syndrome here too :joy::joy::joy:
Well I am not surprised.

Different people building on one Blockchain can’t help each other but rather wish them fail. All is well.

When there is a massive adoption it favours all projects but I am not seeing this on tron.

Don’t want to talk much recently I have suffered here. :joy: There are people here who have those they like their posts and others. Is it greedy or what.
Can’t we work together? When it comes to work I don’t know who is from my country or a friend. If only you can do I will reach out to you.

Very bad, some people have to change their attitude. It is not always about money or who can do it.

Unite and see how we will go far.

One love

We should support each other. It’s unfortunate that people are fighting or arguing over votes.
The Ustx team is also a prominent name in the Tron community, and we should respect them. I’ve seen them consistently building and engaging since the season 1. I’m not taking anyone’s side here, just sharing my thoughts. The admin should take care rest

Every voter should test the specific project, ask questions or give them feedback before voting
Why do people vote for project if they doesn’t even know what is happening and what the project is all about ?lol

With all happening currently. Last week you’ve done many posts in support of a clean up, now your angry it’s happened?

Almost every project has lost votes from the clean up.

:joy::joy::joy:well said honestly

Clean up has always been carried out and bots have always been removed, nothing is wrong with that. This time votes and whole accounts of real people have been removed, including team members, this is totally different thing.
A lot of time and effort has been spent already trying to explain. Apparently everyone is happy with this new way of doing and no one cares that users are not even allowed to speak for themselves on this forum. But it’s ok, if you prefer authority over freedom it’s fine for me.

So, what about those ‘Real People’ with multiple accounts? You think that’s okay?

I think the Tron admins did their homework and gave good answers on this.

If I were you, I’d be glad your project isn’t totally disqualified. Because this is what I would do with cheaters.

Cheating is never the same as freedom. Tron needs a fair competition. I trust the admins to do their job well.

One user, One account, One vote. That’s it.

You know it doesn’t work like that. You’re not answering my question if its fine to have multiple accounts.
So, based on this, I think it’s clear how you think about it. Thanks, and good luck.

Ok so tell me What if i ask my 20 30 college friends to make specific accounts and vote for my project .So if it would be ok? Asking for a friend🙂 Lol @Sirluke @MarcoPolo

Only the active Tron community should have the right to vote I guess otherwise every one can become a champ here even the project who has not usecases or value.

Well ofcourse please do. The more people on the Tron forum the better. As long as it are real people with a single account not sharing IP-adresses or are hidden behind a VPN.

I wouldn’t do it just asking the rules .
What if they sharing same IP I mean using same internet connections but using different laptops and are different person than what?

I said before: ‘
not sharing IP adresses’. But ofcourse I can explain.

It seems that, based on the information provided by the Tron admins, there is a potential risk of accounts from multiple users being perceived as a single user, which could result in account deactivation.

However I don’t think many people are sharing the same IP-adresses while browsing on this forum. And I know cheaters will argue this. The administrators also mentioned that a few accounts used a VPN to cast their votes, which naturally raises concerns too.

So I believe this is an acceptable solution. Otherwise, there is a significant risk of compromising the integrity of the competition.

It’s no rocket science.

There is no freedom when it comes to cheating. There definitely needs to be authority for dirty activities. That is how the world works. Else it would become chaos or anarchy.

Most of us might sometimes break the rules or laws a little bit e.g. overspeeding with car or taking 50 bucks and not reporting it to a tax authorities. Normally those things not cause too much harm and they are statistically insignificant.

Even on the forum I still see some people who voted with their project account and personal account there and they were not removed but we know it’s the same person behind. However statistically that didn’t make huge difference so probably was let be or not noticed.

Then there are people who go a way too far. If someone brings 100kg of drugs to other country, he will be locked for long time of face death penalty in some countries. If they see he has been doing something for longer time then they will make him even more as an example for others and punish them real hard just to make it clear for other people that this is not something that would be taken lightly.

This case is no different. You have been manipulating the system for a long time now and crossed all the lines. Doesn’t make a difference how you do it, whether it’s a list of accounts that you have in your excel sheet or click farm that you hired from some other country or got 100 people to open account from your local village and give you the credentials, it’s still cheating and making it not fair for all other competitors in the hackathon.

If they would not put a stop now to this activity then next season more projects would start playing same way and then it would just become a contest who figures out how to cheat better and manipulate the system. Then is should called different way too and we can push 20k votes in.

You don’t need to have high IQ to actually see it just by even looking at the votes. They come always in batches to same projects that you want to give them. Would be pretty crazy coincidence that all these individuals always like exact same thing and vote for same projects and even in a row.

Then when you take into the count the stuff that some of us know when some projects were even contacted and promised votes and then you look that your guys sent 20 votes there on last minutes before hackathon ends and makes that project to win, that takes the last chance out of that it would be any coincidence.

And TronDAO has this time done bigger analysis to all these actions by looking at the patters etc from previous seasons as well.

Data normally doesn’t lie and if they have the data that just confirms what we have already seen for some seasons then I am at least myself grateful that we might see more fair hackathon seasons coming forward.

Thanks again TronDAO to making this contest more fair.

This the sort of 1 person 1 vote?

I thought that my answer was clear enough, but I’ll try again. It’s not right or acceptable for a single user to have multiple accounts. The only thing that should happen is One user, One account, One vote.
Multiple accounts from the same user must be removed. Clear enough?
The point no one apparently care about is that individual user accounts have been removed also.

That case is not acceptable I believe. What if those 20 friends are also investors in your project but are not active in TG or the forum, should they be banned too?

The line of what’s valid and what’s not is not that clear and can be subjective, especially if the rules are not explicit. The only way to have fair voting is to have KYC, but that poses another kind of problems I think.

Well it seems multiple accounts were made, even with your name on it and it also seems you’re the only one having a problem with this.

So yea again you’re lucky your account and your project are still here. @admin.hackathon should consider this in the final results.
