Proposal: Year-Round Engagement and Rewards on TRON DAO Forum 📢

Hello TRON Community!

We’ve noticed that while our forum is buzzing with energy during hackathon seasons, the activity often slows down once the season wraps up. To keep our community active and engaged year-round, we’d like to propose setting up ongoing activities and rewards even during the “off-season”!

Why Year-Round Engagement?

With continuous engagement, we can maintain the momentum of ideas, foster collaboration, and keep the TRON ecosystem vibrant and innovative. Plus, this would give everyone a reason to stay connected, share knowledge, and earn rewards consistently.

Some Suggested Activities:

  1. Monthly Challenges: Smaller-scale challenges with rewards related to Web3, DeFi, Artistry, and Builder categories to keep skills sharp and projects active.
  2. Knowledge Sharing Incentives: Rewards for sharing high-quality content, tutorials, or hosting Q&A sessions on topics like smart contracts, dApps, or blockchain security.
  3. Developer Spotlights: Feature active members or ongoing projects monthly to build visibility and encourage more consistent contributions.
  4. Community Votes: Reward members for participating in community votes or feedback sessions, helping to shape the future of the TRON ecosystem.

We’d love to hear your suggestions for activities that would keep our forum thriving throughout the year! Drop your ideas below, and let’s brainstorm ways to make the TRON DAO Forum a year-round hub of activity and rewards.

hehehehe good idea but it is becoming like now communities want to see something before they support the project they have invested in it. I run a campaign and I only see some people trying a anything just to get something. 80% know nothing about the project.

Same as here, sometimes you will see a comment and laugh. We can do all what you have stated but note when rewards come in, 70% of the active ones here will be fake and as usual we do know the people who will be flooded here lol, my people are part and your people are part.

It’s true; nowadays, communities often need visible progress before they rally behind a project, especially if they’ve invested in it. Running campaigns reveals a lot—many people just jump in for potential rewards without actually understanding the project. It’s a bit humorous sometimes, seeing comments that clearly show little knowledge of what’s going on.
And you’re spot on about activity spikes around rewards. A large percentage of those who suddenly become “active” are only there for the incentives. We’ve both seen how the crowd shifts when there’s something to gain, and we know exactly which people are here for the real deal versus those who just pop in for quick wins.

Exactly, I see you are new here and it is good you are suggesting same as some of us have already aired out some suggestions like these here and still waiting for positive outcome

Yes waiting for some good outcomes from admin

Maybe instead of $500 for contributing during the hackathon period only, contributors should get it for a period from end of one hackathon until end of the next one.
For instance next season contributor prize metrics could start to count as soon as this season’s results are out.

Negative side: bots would be there even between 2 hackathons

yes i noticed that many bots comes on that period.
But thier filter system also good that filters bots to our from this game.

Such a nice idea though I have suggested something similar to this like " Read to earn" I think @Nana66419 has also suggested something similar to this in the past too , but truth be told, the way things are going if something like this goes live hehe it’s gonna be bloody :joy: , after reading what @Prince-Onscolo just said you will grab some points without being bias, if there is no strict measures putting in place hehe here will be messed up in seconds

I’ve always had this opinion, sometime in the past with @Nana66419 how the forum should be a create-to-earn one, where active members that constantly post useful information/helpful tips bordering around Web3, NFTs, DeFi, and Tron most especially gets rewarded, based on a hierarchy type of system. So much so if you run a topic on Google for instance, SEO redirects you to a shared content on the forum, just my 2 cents.

I am thinking that the forum should be made to accommodate content creators and content creation around Tron and crypto like @manfred_jr said so people can share information and be of very valuable help and be getting paid rewards in the process, thank you :pray:t2:

There are bots (or alt accounts) which are used to vote, and boost projects posts with likes and comments.

Then there are real people who have heard about free money and created accounts with the only purpose of getting a prize. Those are also tracked. The amount of messages posted isn’t sufficient to make it to the top10 list. Still need to have some quality in the comments posted. If AI can help generating questions and remarks in a matter of seconds, it isn’t considered as quality content. So people using it are ngmi.

And if the amount of people doing that keep growing, the prize might be purely removed. Or alternative rewards that will be less appealing to money grabbers.

Although I like the idea of rewarding people creating quality content, being active and supportive, something I start to really hate in crypto is that it used to be something for passionate. People willing to support because they really like the project. Now it’s all about “how are you going to incentivize me?”. Feels that it adds more toxicity that was already very present with the speculative side of crypto.

I get what you mean in terms of toxicity cause when that sense of entitlement kicks in, it becomes a problem when participants don’t get rewarded even when they entries are below par but that notwithstanding, I feel a good tier system would help in outsourcing content that are viable for recognition well enough to be rewarded… Well like you previously suggested, some merch.

Some great ideas here. Would like to suggest one more which I think I already suggested in the last seasons. Allow users, builders to post ads in forum and allow viewers to earn from those ads like there is option in brave browser.

Or part-time/full-time positions for outstanding community members :+1:

80% knows nothing
15% checks if there are words “Just” or “Tron” in project name
5% knows better than project owners
 :joy:

Good
Let’s see who will be lucky …
…

I definitely support this. Because otherwise, project owners usually come from season to season. Well, when this is the case, users come from voting process to voting process, it is not a nice sight. If something is added for mini seasons or the processes in between, it will definitely increase forum activity.

Oh yeah, I’m 100% behind this notion, @Nana66419 has also been sharing opinions on training forum members on becoming Blockchain/solidity devs to have actual projects on Tron.

Great post Anderson. As you have noticed this is something that has been delibrated for some time now. I came into the forum some years ago. I spent some time in really trying to understand how everything works and I noticed that towards the beginning of voting, you will just see different members coming in at a large volume.
In terms of voting, I think the eligibility of voting should be reviewed to easily erase bots from the forum.
