TronXplore by TronEducators - Discover Tron Through Interactive Education!

How does TronXplore encourage users to engage with the Tron blockchain outside of the platform after completing their tasks?

This would require thorough review and scrutiny and if found culpable cause the evidence is very glaring for all to see, the appropriate disciplinary action would follow.

Firstly, welcome to the hackathon session 7
Please you have a serious allegation to clear yourself from. @leohymon has alleged that this project didn’t belong to you, that you stole it and I believe you know that this is a huge crime with its consequences and punishment. If you think that what he alleged is not true, please proof it to us that this project belongs to you.

After doing that, I want you to tell me how you plan to keep your users motivated and engaged throughout their learning journey on the platform apart from offering NFT rewards upon completion of their learning task

Hey @ElevenGracy
Welcome to S7
What metrics or criteria will be used to evaluate a user’s performance in completing tasks and quests on TronXplore?

Hello @leohymon

Thank you for reaching out and expressing your concerns. We truly appreciate your engagement with our project. We want to assure you that we’ve carefully followed all the rules and guidelines. The SkyOffice project is open-source under the MIT License, which allows for reuse, modification, and distribution, provided proper credit is given, and we’ve ensured that all necessary attributions are included in our repository.

While SkyOffice originally focused on meeting and team management, our version has been customized with significant modifications. Our project’s primary purpose is to integrate the Tron ecosystem and provide a gamified learning experience, which is quite different from the original use case. We’ve worked diligently to ensure that these changes align with our goals while respecting the open-source foundation.

To clarify:

Respect for Open-Source Licensing: The MIT License gives us full permission to modify, use, and distribute the code, as long as we retain the license and copyright notice, which we have done.
Proper Attribution: We’ve acknowledged the original creators of SkyOffice in our repository, as required, and have built upon their work in accordance with the license.
Distinct Purpose: Our modifications have shifted the focus of the project, moving away from meetings and team management to create an educational platform that enhances the Tron ecosystem.
Hard Work and Integration: We’ve dedicated significant effort to understanding the codebase and customizing the project to meet the needs of the Tron community, ensuring that it brings value in a completely different way from the original use case.

We believe that open-source projects are meant to be built upon, and we’ve approached this project with respect for its creators while contributing our own unique enhancements. If there’s any specific guideline we’ve overlooked, we’re open to discussion, but as per the MIT License and open-source standards, there is no violation. We trust the judges will see that we’ve adhered to the rules and embraced the spirit of open-source collaboration. Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re always open to further discussion.

Thank you for your question!

At TronXplore, we aim to build users’ confidence by guiding them through practical, task-based learning that covers essential topics like bandwidth, energy management, and transactions on the Tron blockchain. By completing these tasks, users gain hands-on experience and a solid understanding of how things work on the Tron network. This foundational knowledge encourages users to engage with the Tron blockchain beyond our platform, as they become familiar with the ecosystem and feel more confident exploring and interacting with real-world applications independently.

Thank you for your message and for raising this important issue.

First, regarding the allegation from @leohymon , we want to clarify that our project is built upon the open-source SkyOffice platform, which we have acknowledged and credited appropriately. We have adhered to all requirements under the MIT license and have made it clear how SkyOffice served as a foundation for our work. Our project, TronXplore, diverges significantly from SkyOffice in its purpose and implementation. TronXplore focuses on providing a gamified learning experience specifically for the Tron blockchain, which is distinct from what SkyOffice offers. Therefore, there is no basis for the claim that the project was stolen, as we have built upon an open-source framework with transparency and respect for its creators.

As for your second question about keeping users motivated, apart from offering NFT rewards, we engage users by providing an immersive, gamified experience. Each task on the platform is designed to progressively teach users about the Tron blockchain in a step-by-step manner. We ensure that users stay engaged by guiding them through real-world tasks, giving them a sense of accomplishment and mastery. Additionally, we focus on making the learning process enjoyable by offering clear instructions and interactive tasks, so users can build confidence and knowledge while interacting with the Tron ecosystem. Our goal is to empower users to continue exploring Tron beyond the platform.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Regarding your question, on TronXplore, we evaluate a user’s performance based on a points system. Each time a user completes a task or quest, they earn a specific score, which is added to their profile. These scores reflect the user’s progress and mastery of the Tron blockchain concepts covered in the tasks. The criteria for scoring are based on task completion, This way, users can track their learning journey and we have leaderboard section where user can show score to see their growth as they move through the platform.

You do not understand the point. They didn’t give it for commercial purposes which what you are doing there. It is for educational purposes to learn and analyze codes. You literally stole their all design and concept and didn’t change anything about it. It is not original content and illegal to use! You had to design your own platform to take place in this hackathon, you are just using someone else’s work without his permission.
@SimbadMarino, handle the issue please. I already provided all the information up there.

The team SkyOffice doesn’t have any idea of that their project is using in this hackathon FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES!!

Hello @leohymon,

Please take a moment to research the MIT License. It explicitly allows anyone to use the code, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, as long as the conditions are met—like including the license and the copyright notice. We’ve fully complied with these terms, so it’s incorrect to claim that we’ve stolen or illegally used the project.
We’ve acknowledged the original creators and significantly customized the project for Tron integration. If you explore our version, you’ll see how it differs from the original. We’re open to discussion, but rest assured, no rules have been violated.
Thank you.

There are 2 great problems.

  1. Show the proof that they published it with MIT license.
  2. Let’s say that it is with MIT, You didn’t mention it in any parts of your text. All forum users and judges believed that it is your original work even though it is not

With that logic, people can get any open-source project with MIT license and put it into hackathons. Do you think it is fair and legal?

Yes, we believe it is fair and legal as long as the project provides value on top of the original and does not simply submit the open-source project as it is. If you have done this much research and were able to find the SkyOffice project, you should also have checked their GitHub, where they have clearly mentioned it: SkyOffice GitHub. They have stated, ā€œThis project is licensed under MIT. If you’re using SkyOffice to power your virtual office or using our code in other projects, please consider buying me a coffee. Thank you :)ā€

Yes, we didn’t mention it in the forum, but that was a mistake, which you could point out rather than just saying that the project is stolen and illegal and passing negative comments. I know you are reviewing all the projects, but you seem to focus only on the negative aspects. You should also consider looking at the positive side and help the projects that are lagging by offering a few constructive suggestions. I appreciate your opinion, but I would also like you to consider my perspective on your feedback style. Thank you! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi I see you’re keeping a good community engagement so far. I really appreciate your work and discipline. And your idea also seems to be interesting. Could more elements of game design, such as avatars, in-game rewards, or even TronXplore mini-games, deepen the gamified experience and encourage users to immerse themselves more fully in learning TRON?

Hello team, appreciate @leohymon on pointing this out, the best way to prove you are still using MIT is to provide your github repo link, due to the fact this project is significantly using Open Source code the best is to open source and provide a verifiable link.

Thanks for clarifying and supporting in advance!

Thank you so much for your appreciation! We’re glad to have community members like you supporting us.

As for your question, at this stage, we haven’t planned to incorporate TronXplore mini-games or avatars just yet. We’re focused on starting with the basics, ensuring that users become familiar with the gamified learning experience and the core concepts of the Tron blockchain. However, as we progress, we definitely see the potential for adding more elements, like avatars and in-game rewards, to deepen user engagement.

We value feedback like yours and will consider incorporating such features in the future to enhance the experience even further. Thanks again for your support!

@SimbadMarino

Thank you for bringing this up, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

We understand the importance of transparency in our projects, and to address any concerns, here is the link to our GitHub repository: GitHub - TronXplore/tronxplore-app. Our project is built using open-source project skyoffice, and we have made significant contributions to customize and innovate beyond the original framework. You can look at the repository to see the commits where we made substantial changes. It’s not just about using the code—we first took the time to thoroughly understand the structure, and based on our specific requirements, we made changes accordingly.

This effort represents our dedication to providing a valuable and unique learning experience for the Tron ecosystem. From designing a gamified approach to handling backend interactions and contract creation for TRC20 and TRC721 tokens, we’ve worked hard to ensure the project aligns with our goals.

Thank you again for your understanding and support!
