Easy as ABC I think… Just give it a try.
How many projects do you have on your Devpost portfolio? Please share a link
for (1) I am not really sure myself, I’ll wait for the views of others
for (2) getting to diffuse some experience between devs, Tron enthusiasts, etc would be overall beneficial. It would also help beginners interact with HackaTRON veterans. theres that
Hello everyone! As we approach the Qualifiers announcement, we’d like to share some thoughts on HackaTRON so far. We’ve been supporting the Hackathon team by providing feedback and observing the community from the sidelines, hoping to encourage more organic discussions and engagement. Our goal is for participants to genuinely learn and grow through HackaTRON, not simply view it as a competition. To support this, the team will also be reaching out with email feedback this season, offering simple suggestions to help improve projects.
Additionally, we’ve noticed – and received reports about – responses generated by AI tools like ChatGPT being used to game community contributor prizes. Our stance is that using AI to enhance writing quality is acceptable; however, using AI to create polished but unrelated responses undermines the spirit of the community. We encourage the HackaTRON team to consider this issue and ensure interactions feel authentic. We’d much rather interact with real people, not bots. What do you think?
3. How should the team handle responses that rely heavily on ChatGPT?
4. What track would you like to see in the next season, and why?
-
As you said, people using ChatGPT to polish their answers is acceptable (even tho google translate already does the job).
But it’s boring for everybody when someone copies the hackathon participants presentation in ChatGPT asking it to generate 5-10 questions. The questions might be interesting but most of the time the answers are in the presentation already, so I just want to answer “read the presentation post before asking questions”. Also it’s discouraging for participants to see those questions, feeling obliged to answer while you know the one asking doesn’t really care eventually.
So for me, we shouldn’t judge negatively projects avoiding to answer questions obviously generated automatically. And we should simply remove spammers. I know it’s the extreme solution to ban accounts, but feels it’s needed if we want to keep the place welcoming for participants and for those who are genuinely supporting and/or learning. -
An idea that could be interesting IF more projects decide to participate several times with the same product would be to have: builders - artistry, builders - DeFi, builders - integration, builders - web3. Not sure if needed at this point tho.
I’d also like to see the integration track enlarged to more protocols. We have had some interesting projects during those 7 seasons of hackathon. Some DID, some DEXes,… would be nice to see new projects building on top of it. That would require to make a strict selection of eligible projects to be built on. Since some of them are pretty much dead. Or on another hand it could help revive dead projects. I don’t know, the debate on that is open
I’d like to ask you what are your conclusions about this new voting formula? What do you guys feel about the votes being hidden?
Maybe it’s still too early to tell but it was a pretty big change.

Am not a fan of ChatGPT but I won’t discourage people from using it rather I will advise those using to be guided and be using it in an appropriate manner, for me as long as TronDao forum still exists it’s open and most welcome for everyone but in as much we should be mindful and minimize the abuse of using chatGPT, any baseless /unrelated responses should be flagged, moreover a project using chatGPT all through aside from polishing his words is a red flag because that simply means that simply means that he/she doesn’t understand the concept of what their projects, so there should be a caution/warning for anyone/projects using chatGPT for any unrelated responses.

I would like to see MEME Track to be added next season, this will definitely help some meme project that has utility and long term vision, it will also be a motivating factors for those who are willing to build and push their memes to an unimaginable level, i believe this will help elevate the tron memes aside from those that dies in few minutes, the goal is still to make Tron great
Together we can achieve greater things

The issue of using ChatGPT to generate responses has been dominating our discussions for a number of times now and one thing we can’t deny is the fact that this tool has come to stay, no amount of discussion will stop the use of it. My suggestion is to encourage people against excessive use of it. Let them understand what they are using and how relevant it is to the discussion. Should it found not relevant, the response should be flagged as spam.

Is this as a new track or existing one?
4a. If as a new track, my answer will be a Meme track. Following the launch of sunpump, meme coins has generated a big traction to Tron blockchain, having a track for memes will encourage these developers to keep building order than involving in flash pump and dump of the token.
4b. If as an existing track, my answer is DeFi track. This is because recent efforts has been to encourage web2 users to adapt to the concept of blockchain technology. This objective in my opinion will be achieved through the services of DeFi projects, and keeping the DeFi track will keep developers more focused on developing projects that will help in facilitating the onboarding of these web2 users.
GM Tronlive, Well-done
- Just my suggestion, heavy chatgpt user spamming should be suspended or even have chatgpt or bad badge for it.
I know some person will use AI to polish their English, but if Done in a way that is organic human related, then fine, but if done like machine language then should be suspended.
Cases where you ask random chatgpt user to explain what the paste, then it fight here.
- Supporting @fabsltsa , upcoming track I will love to see is the subsection in the builders track. Example like fabs mentioned.
Another track, could be student track, reasons I noticed some universities students joined this session, maybe these should be one for them.
Good to be joining in this discussion again
- Ever since the topic has shifted to the use of ChatGPT I kept asking myself why users focus more on other users using ChatGPT and saying little or nothing to project teams using ChatGPT in both their project topic and community responses? Is this a plan for some people to promote themselves to be more qualify for the community contributors prize than others?
I am not saying that the use of ChatGPT is the best but why limiting the topic all the time to only the community members and leaving the project teams untouched? The topic should always be made holistic if we want to achieve a goal with it.
- Here I don’t know what to say but sub-categorizing the builders track like @fabsltsa suggested will be a perfect plan to try in the coming seasons
I don’t think anybody criticised the fact that people use ChatGPT to enhance their comments. Same goes with teams. If your English is not great but you want to express your ideas clearly in that language, why not use AI. I do use it too from time to time. Teams use it as well to make their presentation more pleasant to read and professional which is ok. In the case a team would just copy an open source code and generate a whole presentation with AI then yeah it would be a problem.
The issue is when someone doesn’t read anything. Just copy paste a whole presentation in AI and ask to get 5-10 relevant questions. At the end of the day, it in some ways brings activity to the forum but it’s all fake, there is no humanity behind those lines. He/she doesn’t learn anything and everybody loses time. Personally when I see that kind of post I just scroll down now.
Don’t hide the voting next time , its seems boring here not any excitement.
- This is an interesting topic and it should be well analyzed. From what @TronLive is saying, I think they are referring to teams who uses ChatGPT to respond to questions asked. I am not against ChatGPT, I use it for tweets a lot but if teams are to depend on ChatGPT to answer questions then it means they know nothing about what they are building. Or they have no interest in the product but the prizes. You should known every detail about the product you are building. If the depend heavily on ChatGPT please consider that project as cut and paste project.
To us the community, no one is perfect but you should be guided as @Nweke-nature1.com said. Who do you want to be more perfect than on the platform? Sometimes I will go through a whole submission and I won’t understand anything. It is not compulsory to get a question for every project. If they continue let’s enjoy their active participation but if they are doing that just because of the top 10 contributor prize just exclude them lol. If we encourage that the forum will flooded with ChatGPT users.
With the last question, I support @fabsltsa
The community has already had a discussion about it and we will be happy to see that. This is because we mostly see the top projects in builders track and these great builders end up winning nothing just because of a tough competition in that track. They have proved number of times that they are committed to building on tron.
This is a bonus contribution, i did not see what was explained to us with the new way of voting. You should allow us to see the results while’s doing the clean up exercise. That was how I understood it. It stated “voting results will be available at the end me of the voting” but how it seems it will only be visible when the winners are announced. @admin.hackathon
I see the message was more towards community contributers not for teams!
I am thinking that there is nothing that is wrong with using AI on the side of the members in the forum but it is just that when you read it sometimes you will clearly hear a voice that is not in any way sound like the voice of a human being because some abuse AI and on the part of the project owners I am thinking that is armed robbery because you are making a presentation that is written for us like a movie script to entertain us when you know that you know nothing about acting and they should be disqualified or that their particular project should just go to blacklist.
I do not know plenty stuff about AI but I want to be using grammerly to be correcting my english am I going to be banned so I do not make any mistake, thank you
Oh ok I addressed both
They should keep us entertained with no prize until they start asking more human questions or more human responses
The overly excessive use of AI makes the whole conversation here inorganic like you put it and in such an instance, I’m presuming TronDao Forum has a mechanism where that particular engagement can be flagged and a process where there’d be a verification to ascertain whether or not the user is a bot, that’s as a warning shot, if the defaulter continues such violations, then there should be account suspension for a while. The duration of such a penalty is left for the admins to decide and I personally feel @ines_valerie has said it all.
P.S: I use AI too sometimes, Grok more specifically to write articles (as a KoL for Scrypt) and have plans of taking up a course on Generative AI.

The issue of ChatGPT should not form basis of discussion here because this is a tool that was developed to make human’s work easier. How can we be talking about innovation and at the same time, be seeing ChatGPT as a threat? It doesn’t make any sense to me at all. We want web2 users to participate in web3 yet we in web3 are crying over ChatGPT. I don’t see any reason for this. I support what @ines_valerie has said but will like to add that community members should be guided on the use of ChatGPT by encouraging them to at least read the responses gotten from ChatGPT and study how RELEVANT it is to the topic before using it. As for project owners using ChatGPT, they are the people that more measures should apply on because it is an act of deceit, presenting what they didn’t create as their own ideas. I think project owners using ChatGPT should be one of the criteria that disqualify a project in the voting stage.

Innovative track: Some seasons ago, we have this track which fosters collaboration among students devs, we need it back to encourage and support these interns to keep identifying/achieving their talents.
If a user is overusing GPT then they should simply be banned. But there can be strikes for this strike 1 warn the user strike 2 ban !
As Gordian said student track can be nice but with a some lower prize than other tracks.
